Building A Life Together, Take Two

It’s been said that we make our plans from A to Z, but life happens in between. You think you’re on the right track, then life tosses a curve ball that knocks even the best laid plans off course and you have no choice but to start all over again. This is where Matt and Amanda found themselves.

Like most newlyweds, Matt and Amanda were ready to purchase their first home and begin building their lives together as a married couple. They found an agent they believed would be perfect for them and set to work looking for that perfect forever home. Unfortunately, things didn’t work out quite like they’d hoped.

The agent ended up trying to push them into homes that didn’t match what they were looking for, and even refused to answer some of their questions. Matt and Amanda tried to make things right, but it just wasn’t going to happen. The final straw came when the agent showed the couple a home that was already pending.  Matt and Amanda hadn’t given up on their quest, but something had to change.

They reached out to a friend and asked him who he would recommend to help them in their purchase. Their friend recommended the Toril Sells Houses Team.

Turns out, he went to high school with Toril, the founder and Team’s namesake. She had also previously sold his parents’ Tapps Island home above the asking price in one of the most competitive markets on the lake. If anyone could help Matt and Amanda, it was the Toril Sells Houses Team.

The couple was paired by Toril herself with agent Valinda Horstman. She took the time needed to listen to what they wanted and what they were looking for in a home. She sent them listings and went with them to go look at every single one they wanted to see, easily turning down the one’s that just weren’t the right fit.

All this hard work and dedication paid off for both the Toril Sells Houses Team and Matt and Amanda. They found their perfect home in a new development, with both the square footage and decent backyard they were looking for, all at a reasonable price.
